Face #1

Face #1 was drawn with vine charcoal.

I was attracted to drawing this face because of the deep shadows. Instead of drawing the shapes of the face, eyes, nose, etc., I concentrated on accurately drawing the shadows.

i love the emotion you are able to show in your drawings. I just started painting and drawing one year ago this may. I am so infatuated with faces. I paint and draw them every chane I get.. I would love to send you one of my drawings.

Let me know how I can do this. I would love feedback from someone who what I am talking about.

Darla,

I didn't realize that anyone had commented on my faces, because I didn't have that feature turned on in the blog. I hope you're still out there!

Thanks for your comments about the faces. I appreciate the feedback. Speaking of feedback, I would love to see your drawings. If they are posted somewhere, just send me the URL or just send an email to lizajoker@yahoo.com. The other thing you can check out is the Art Critique Gallery link at the top. There is a wonderful group of artists there who provide feedback on each other's work. I've even posted one of the faces there.

Hope to hear from you!
